Well it was Tuesday morning, the alarm as just gone off at 06.45, time for tea and toast and then you realize what happened after the Hash hymn? (My mouth is feeling like I have been chewing on an out of date flange) and then you realize you’re the scribe OH NO!! It as been a great start to a new year, I have not been sober once, so this report as got to be finished before I get NUGGET to school. Mondays have changed for me, NUGGET get of the school and then since I have become the “Sandwich Lady”, I have to buy 5 kilo’s of sausage, French bread, burgers, buns and salad and also make sure we not running out of mustard or ketchup! (and all profits goes to endangered chickens trough out the world) Everyday I turn on the TV and my feathered friends are being culled, put in disused bags and thrown into holes in the ground I have to turn to another channel, it’s so sad, sniff sniff…..
Getting back, we turn up at the A-site, an intimate spot beside a lake, we have been there before? But the A-site is changed across the road. The jeep is unloaded and the Bar-BQ is about to be lit. CHICKEN LEGS for kindling, THE QUEEN and FLIPPER are in attendance preparing fodder for hungry hashers. GM FROG is suffering from Frog Flu again, the circle is called, only one pair of new shoes. Hares ARSE-HOLEO and CLIT FACE tell us about the run, part of which was used the previous day by the jungle run. White paper, red and pink checks and off we go. An interesting start and early checks fools everybody, it was this time that I slowed down and gave the front runners to solve some checks. I walked the rest of the run with DR. THRUSH and STEAMY LUMP. Eventually got the ON IN and mingled as one does. The Mexican man PONCHO kept reminding me I had to find a scribe, well I hadn’t, and so that’s why I am writing this, this morning. NUGGET is off to school, late again. We started with the raffle, the lovely SWALLOW making the statement off all time “If DERELICK wins a prize, he can f..k me for FREE!” There was a hush around the circle, never heard before? SEAMAN STAINS choked on his beer, he did not win f..k all and SWALLOW got to go home with SEAMAN STAINS. We will find out if they’re still happily married next week? It was about this time that the GM FLYING FROG turned up, he wasn’t looking much like a flying frog but a shrivelled dead frog, but at least he was there. We then had SIR AIRHEAD, GEN. KIDNEY WIPER, THE POPE, Dr. PINKY, Dr. THRUSH, CLIT FACE, YAO YAO and myself to remember our friend HASH GROUPIE who would have been 65 years old this Wednesday, cheers! We had the usual returnees, virgins, leavers and visitors in. SIR AIRHEAD the BAD RA and STEAMY LUMP the GOOD RA doing their usual entertainment. A good run and a good song from the hares. SEAMAN leads us in the Hash Hymn. YAO YAO and myself where wondering why T4 was absent, well we had to console him at a local bar. He as apparently fallen in love for the first time in his old life, but fallen in love with a lady who works a short time bar, having sloppy fourths everyday is not the way to go?
