Arrival at the A-site reveals a good location and a smaller turn out of runners than usual. The Pope pointing out the recent rain being the likely cause of scaring off the weak willed. Smells of BBQ burgers and sausages generously supplied by the hares are already making everyone hungry so the GM quickly deals with the new shoes and with a few words of warning from the hares a group of approximately 40 runners set off into the surrounding fields and jungle. Everyone quickly settles into their pace for a wet run with plenty of deep sand, mud and ploughed fields. The usual suspects Lord Lucan and Miserable Cunt are observed shortcutting from the first FT commenting “we’ve peaked already” never to be seen again until back at the A-site where they are first to be filling their faces. Fuck the Truth is overheard whining about whore thieves and being accosted by Germans for washing his bicycle in the apartment showers? Fini the Faggot is also heard boasting to everyone about his physical prowess in the previous day’s marathon. Well placed checks and a few FT’s keep the pack together for most of the run. Other highlights included wading waist deep through a stream, being chased by dogs and listening to the veterans berating people for not checking deep enough. The paper disappeared nearing the end of the run but the trail is picked up again by Ve-Ve taking bearings from the sun and placing his ear to the ground to listen for Free Willy’s footsteps. All in all a good run with the front running bastards coming in at around 53 minutes.
Back at the A-site the usual comments of “too much paper”, “not enough paper” can be heard between mouthfuls of sausage and burger. Free Willy sets the scene for the evening by cracking awful jokes to anyone that will listen whilst Spaghetti Head informs everyone that the tongue is in fact the strongest muscle in the body (this is probably true of Americans). An honorable mention goes to Michael the Beer Master for getting changed in full view of everyone, proudly displaying his disgusting white body, scaring all the children and stopping many a runner mid-bite.
The GM kicks off the circle by icing the hares, the latecomers (Ball Ringer and virgin), no singing scum and then straight onto the raffle. Top prizes include a free meal at Patrick’s restaurant, a short time room at Karamba’s, t-shirts, three bottles of quality Laos whiskey, a bunch of roses and a bag of mangos. Retard Wanker is then handed the circle for three minutes to reap revenge on his persecutors, his choices guaranteeing him further time in the bucket. Next on the ice are the short cutters, a mixed rabble of insubordinates and Uncle Fester earning the title of hash shit for destroying property to keep his melon dry? Allah’s Arsehole is called up for spending his girlfriend’s money on smooth skinned tricks in Boys Town whilst Poncho’s pictures of marathon pussy are passed around as he drinks a double down-down.
Comedy duo Ringworm and Big Nosed Bastard take the circle entertaining the crowd with a repertoire of terrible animal jokes on bats, snakes and circumcising whales which go all down like a pig in a temple, Lone Wolf also chimes in with his perfect smile and one of his better practiced bar jokes. Hash Hero is awarded to Tadpole for being the fastest female to complete the quarter marathon. Further awards go to Mr. Waldorf for 50 runs mug, Tadpole for 250 runs mug and Sir Fester for 600 runs. Single Cell earns a spot on the ice for refusing to pay for his piss, a bald dress wearing German guy is named ‘Hair Con’ and the circle is ended with some slow dancing to Phil Collins which the guys use as an excuse for a bit of bottom squeezing.
