Correcting Run Records Policy

To encourage hashers, and hash virgins, to take responsibility for ensuring they have received proper run credit, the deadline for reporting missed runs will be Thursday evening following a run. As run stats are posted to the website by noon of the Tuesday following the run, hashers will have 2 1/2 days to review the run stats to confirm they've received credit for the run just held.

The reason for the Thursday deadline is we close out the run accounts and run records for a run on Friday mornings. Corrections entered before Friday help ensure we have an accurate accounting of the run.

It is hoped with this policy in place the number of hashers that pay the signup fee and walk away before having their name marked off on the signup list will be reduced. This will also eliminate the cases where a hasher comes to us weeks, months, or even years later asking to correct a missed run in the records.

This week I refused the clipboard and had my brain minced by Flying Finn’s aniseed booze so this week’s scribe is a complete work of fiction.  The father & son team of LCF & Master Bates picked an old favourite A-site at the Chinese cemetery for the sixty odd hashers who turned up.  Sir Frog volunteered his services as GM and welcomed the visitor wearing new shoes with a nice cold chang.  The hares described the run just as the Hash Flash Robbing Bastard and his replacement, Minnie Maow sprinted off to get some photos of the pack as they set off.  A steady run on tracks, through fields and into the woods with no cattle or dogs was a good recovery exercise after the previous night’s excesses.  There were 8 checks, which kept the pack nicely together and brought us back after about 40 minutes.  I was quite surprised arriving at the a-site to see most people were still out on the trail, with most people arriving back within an hour.  The drunkening commenced and by the time of the circle, most were nicely lubricated.  Our GM started proceedings with the returnees, visitors, virgins & leavers before handing over to the raffle mistress.  The only prize which interested me was the tequila, which fortunately ended up in my possession, thanks Cabbage Queen.  The Emperor took care of business next punishing all those who deserved.  You will notice things getting a bit hazy by this time as I think my consumption had increased, being encouraged along nicely by Barnacle Bollox, MC & GI Joe.  There was then some strange phenomenon which accelerated time blurring ice, beer, songs and standing round the beer truck into a montage of vagueness.  There was definitely a hares song in there somewhere and the Hash Hymn is safe bet to round things off.  If I was to charge 1 baht per word then I reckon that I have just about earned my free run with this scribe report, or would do if I wrapped up after another few words that’s it done.
