The run
Described in 3 words, wet, shiggy, steep.
There where about 60 hashers that turned up for Mondays run and it was great to see some of the old faces again. I always enjoy running with the Monday hash and it is always good to catch up with people that I don’t see all of the time.
The run started at the Kings wife park which is near Buddha Mountain. The hares told us that it would be wet and slippery, and Seal Sucker told me that is how he likes his ladies. The harriet's where told “no shopping” on the run, as the site is like sacred ground.
A couple of virgins where called into the circle before the run started, and it is always good to see new blood join in with the hash. It was then off with the frb’s taking up their normal positions and us walkers just trailing along enjoying the scenery. We stared with a climb of mount everest, and ended up with a walk through the likes of kew gardens. These are not my words but the words of the joint gm.
What I remember was arriving at a wet run site, and finishing a great run/walk in a good location. After that it all went down hill rapidly, as I had it sprung on me that I was going to be the nights scribe. After telling Wankers Wanking that I won't remember a thing after a couple of beers, and that it would be easier for me to send him a blank page in the morning so that he could fill it in, he finally convinced me to scribe. Mind you I think there where many threats of much icing, if I didn’t scribe. So here I am trying to write down something whilst I remember.
I thought it was a great run by the Apples Turnover family, a great a site and a great walking running area. Found that the stepping stones where a wee bit slippery but apart from that all went well. The run/walk was long enough for me, but I believe that there where a couple of hashers that enjoyed the run so much that they went around for a second time. Silly sods, why run again when there is beer available?
The circle was called and we where told that the circle would be short, so that there could be 20 minutes of social drinking after the circle. What a great idea from the hash committee, it gave us all a chance to talk to other hashers. Thanks a lot guys.
The 2 virgins where called in for a beer or two. One of the hussies was renamed twice during the evening, and I think she is now known as Suzy Wong. Not that I would know, but I believe the original Suzy Wong was a much loved lady from Hong Kong. Really Sadistic Bastard was given his 5 hares cap, so well done Jimmy. Chicken Fucker got up and did his bit in the circle and as always we had a few good laughs.
There was a down down completion on ice which only the drunks participated in. And then the winner of that had another go with the gm.
The harriet's where called into the circle, not for shopping this time but for eating whilst the circle was on. It is always good to see the ladies join in, but next time on the ice can we see a bit of skin?
The circle has always been a big part of the hash for me, and it is always good to see everyone participate. I am sure there is much more that I could write about, and I am sure there are many people that I should have mentioned, but after a few beers the old memory is not as good as it used to be.
I had a great day out, and I hope the rest of you enjoyed Monday's run as much as I did. Well done to the hares, well done to Pattaya H3. Great run, great circle, great people.
On on forever
