Correcting Run Records Policy

To encourage hashers, and hash virgins, to take responsibility for ensuring they have received proper run credit, the deadline for reporting missed runs will be Thursday evening following a run. As run stats are posted to the website by noon of the Tuesday following the run, hashers will have 2 1/2 days to review the run stats to confirm they've received credit for the run just held.

The reason for the Thursday deadline is we close out the run accounts and run records for a run on Friday mornings. Corrections entered before Friday help ensure we have an accurate accounting of the run.

It is hoped with this policy in place the number of hashers that pay the signup fee and walk away before having their name marked off on the signup list will be reduced. This will also eliminate the cases where a hasher comes to us weeks, months, or even years later asking to correct a missed run in the records.

Missed runs can be reported via email to the Webmaster.

The theme for today's run was listed as the Valentine's Day run, but I think a more fitting theme should have been Gullies For The Hashers.

The run began like all previous runs. We arrived at an A-site that I don't believe we've used before. Plenty of room to spread out with good privacy just off Santi Khan Rd. The threatening rains had relented and we were left with cool temps. Perfect for trail running, or in this case gully slogging.

First circle Sir Spaghetti Head was recognized for 1,000th runs with a presentation by the GM of a framed certificate to mark this auspicious occasion. Then after a couple of announcements the hares quickly explained the standard marks and off the pack was sent.

It wasn't long before the trail had us going below ground level into the first of many gullies. One in particular had an exit that was quite steep and required a helping hand to pull our short in stature Thai ladies out. I have to wonder if nobody was around to pull them out, would they still be there.

Surprisingly, given the number of rainstorms we've had over the last several days, the gullies were dry. Very unusual for a VV run as I couldn't remember the last time he laid a trail where we came out of it with dry feet. But I needn't have worried as about of 500m from the A-site we dropped into the umpteenth gully to be greeted by a river bed of water. No dry feet were coming out of that gully.

After the river gully we climbed back up to ground level to be greeted by an "On In" banner with the A-site in sight. But wait, what's that ahead of us; one last gully to negotiate within meters of the A-site.

Well done hares! And a hashy thank you for the hares sponsored pasta Bolognese.

All in all a great run and enjoyable circle, with a surprise appearance of the return of Emperor Airhead, who had been riding out the Covid storm somewhere north of Nakhon Nowhere.

And in case anyone didn't notice, our Rags Master, Antique finally made it through the last of the Gullies For The Hashers just before the last light of day faded.
